2. Scope of Services

This policy applies to services provided by Style Veranda, such as the design, manufacture, and installation of custom verandas or similar home improvement solutions. As many of our services involve bespoke or made-to-order products, specific conditions apply.

3. Right of Withdrawal (Cooling-Off Period)

Under Belgian law, if you are a consumer (i.e., an individual purchasing for personal use) and the contract was concluded online, over the phone, or off-premises (e.g., at your home), you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 calendar days without giving any reason, provided the service has not yet been fully performed.

  • Start of the Cooling-Off Period: The 14-day period begins the day after you receive confirmation of the contract (e.g., a signed agreement or order confirmation).
  • Exercising Your Right: To withdraw, notify us in writing (e.g., via email to info@styleveranda.be) or use the model withdrawal form available (optional: link to a downloadable form). You must inform us before the 14-day period expires.
  • Exceptions: The right of withdrawal does not apply if:
    • The service has been fully performed (e.g., installation completed) with your prior express consent and acknowledgment that you lose this right once the service is completed.
    • The service involves the supply of goods made to your specifications or clearly personalized (e.g., a custom-designed veranda).

If you exercise your right of withdrawal, we will refund all payments received, including any standard delivery costs, within 14 days of receiving your notice, using the same payment method you used, unless otherwise agreed.

4. Cancellation Before Service Begins

  • Prior to Work Starting: If you cancel your order before we begin manufacturing or performing the service (e.g., before materials are ordered or installation starts), you may be eligible for a full refund, minus any administrative or preparatory costs incurred (e.g., design consultations). We will inform you of any such costs at the time of cancellation.
  • After Work Begins: Once production or installation has started, cancellation may not be possible due to the custom nature of our services. Refunds in such cases will be assessed on a case-by-case basis (see Section 6).

5. Refunds for Defective or Non-Conforming Services

If the service provided (e.g., veranda installation) is defective, not as agreed, or fails to meet the quality standards promised:

  • Your Rights: Under Belgian law, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund (partial or full), depending on the circumstances, within the 2-year legal guarantee period starting from the completion of the service.
  • Process: Notify us within a reasonable time (preferably within 2 months of discovering the issue) via email or phone, providing details and, if possible, photos of the defect. We will investigate and propose a solution (repair, replacement, or refund) within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Refund Amount: If repair or replacement is not possible or reasonable, we will refund you proportionally based on the severity of the defect and the remaining value of the service.

6. Custom-Made Products and Services

Because many of our offerings (e.g., verandas) are custom-made to your specifications:

  • Refunds or returns are not available for products or services that have been completed as agreed, unless they are defective or fail to meet the agreed specifications.
  • Deposits or payments made for custom orders may not be refundable if cancellation occurs after production begins, as these cover materials and labor already committed.

7. Refund Process

  • Timeframe: Approved refunds will be processed within 14 days of agreement or receipt of necessary information (e.g., proof of defect).
  • Method: Refunds will be issued via the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
  • Costs: You are responsible for any costs related to returning goods (if applicable), unless the return is due to our error or a defect.

8. Complaints and Disputes
